My name is Su Huixin. Now I study design at the University of Auckland. I started painting in high school. I can draw watercolor, black and white, sketch. Sometimes I use Photoshop to design posters. I studied digital media design in China University for one year, and also did some video editing and shooting.
My hobbies are painting and dancing, which I have done for many years.

REFLECTIONS
Let's talk about how I grew up in my painting career. I began to learn painting in high school. At that time, I studied art for examination. My painting score is very good. I can go to a good university. But then I went to college, and I really came into contact with design. I find things are not as simple as I thought, but they are still very interesting. On the way of design, I once lost my way. Sometimes I don't have design inspiration. I look for inspiration by looking at other designers' works or some things. I hope to open a studio in the future, design products, make videos and let more people see my works

MY DESIGN INSPIRATION
My design inspiration comes from black and white painting. In my mind, I have flashed the application of black and white painting, which is almost as old as human civilization. We have found a large number of art works such as decorations and pottery in ancient sites. Nowadays black and white paintings are widely used in art. The blank phenomenon and spatial sense in black and white imply the psychological reaction closely related to the visual illusion, which makes the onlookers happy to indulge in its visual illusion. So what I want to express is the classic artistic charm of black and white, which is also called "the age of no color"

My favoite software
My three favorite software are premiere, Photoshop and after effects
Premiere can make videos and clips, which is a good tool. When I was a freshman in China, I used it to do some clips of video homework. After effects can make some video special effects to make the videos look more wonderful. After editing the videos, I will use after effects to make some video effects, which is a better picture feeling. Photoshop I use it to draw and do poster design, it can also beautify the picture, occasionally took a picture, I also use it to repair the picture, there are many functions, I am also the most I use a software. One of the disadvantages is that these three software can only be used after payment.

MADE A WALLET PROTOTYPE#DES1000

This is a wallet design process. The first one is the original wallet design of partner Hana. It's a simple wallet, but she doesn't think it has enough coins and cards, and it doesn't have enough capacity. So I added an extra small wallet to the wallet to hold enough coins, and added a card position in the wallet. Because New Zealand coins are very heavy, I will use some lighter materials to make it, which is convenient and light to use. Generally speaking, wallets are made of leather. Now there are many different materials to make wallets. We also pay more attention to environmental protection and functions. We can use some light, breathable and cheap materials, so that more people can experience different wallets. I made this wallet. Although it's a little simpler, it can hold many things, light and convenient at the same time

Target User: GUOWEN (best friend）
Design Description：
Guowen needs a new light source to learn and improve his life, but this light source must be energy-saving and convenient
LAMP
My solution to the design statement is a conical table lamp made of recycled materials, which can help Guowen solve the problem of no air conditioning in the dormitory and the problem of lamp size.
Why？
The shape of the cone represents the interpretation of Guowen's personality. I also get inspiration from other things he likes, such as wood texture, color and nostalgic pop culture reference.
